Loved and Labored

Feeling incredibly inspired by these amazing sketches by London based illustrator, Shoey Nam. The collection, entitled ‘Loved and Labored’, features delicate line drawings depicting music and literary greats at various stages and moods in their life. Here we put the infamous words and lyrics to the faces of the revolutionary artists of the 20th century whose influence is still felt today.

“About morals, I know only that what is moral is what you feel good after and what is immoral is what you feel bad after.” – Ernest Hemingway

“Another belief of mine: that everyone else my age is an adult, whereas I am merely in disguise.” – Margaret Atwood

“As long as I know I’ve got love, I know I’m gonna make it.” – Sammy Davis Jnr.

Each time I find myself flat on my face, I pick myself up and get back in the race.”  – Frank Sinatra

Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.” – Allen Ginsberg
