From red carpet glamour to the city streets, cdl’s pieces are as versatile as they are stunning. We’ve prepared two winter getaway outfits to inspire you for the cooler days.
Look 1: Effortlessly Chic
Work your winter staples with a splash of colour to add a little zest to your daily errands or lunch out with the girlfriends. We love pairing baggy boyfriend jeans with this loose-fitted Alexander Wang top, matched with suede booties and Mulberry satchel. To complete this effortlessly chic look, swoop your hair into a messy bun and pair it with a pop of colour using the Heartbreaker earrings and Mrs Robinson scarf draped nonchalantly around your neck.
Look 2: Sunday Afternoons
For this look we’ve chosen bold prints by Vivienne Westwood and these gorgeous electric blue Maison Martin Margiela boots to create an outfit reminiscent of Sunday afternoons or breezy walks through the city. Pair with the all-new clear Let Them Eat Cake neckpiece and just-in-store clear and blue Sweet Nothings for a stroke of simplistic brilliance.

Picasso, Goya, Jean-Michel Frank and Renaissance bronzes. There is only one man bold enough to make such compositions – Yves Saint Laurent. His apartment on Paris’s Left Bank is a fusion of his art deco obsession, rare furniture pieces like the Eileen Gray dragon chair and, of course, complete sophistication embodied in every item found in this couturier’s repository of the rare and wonderful. Tell us, which room is your favourite?

We have a two words of advice when keeping in spirit with the 1920s decadent age of fashion – be extravagant. That means plenty of glitz, glam and embellished creations. Go dancing with Alexander McQueen’s fluted crepe skirt, paired with ‘First Love, Last Romance’ earrings for a dash of Jazz Age elegance. Or channel your inner Daisy Buchanan with a draped satin dress, ‘Quintessential cdl’ neckpiece and ‘Dreamweaver’ haircomb, perfect for a glamourous soiree.

There is one thing about Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby that has us ladies at CDL HQ weak at the knees (other than Mr Leonardo Dicaprio) and that’s the good old-fashioned Hollywood glamour of the rip-roaring 1920s. Designers Miuccia Prada and Catherine Martin revealed their lavish creations in Prada’s New York flagship store, featuring a profusion of fringing, embellished head pieces and crystalised creations. We can only keep our fingers crossed their world tour may reach our shores. Here’s a few snapshots of the launch xx.
